Roxheiris is a family-friendly AI companion. This page explains what Mao is, what she won’t do, and how she responds when someone may be in crisis.

Mao is an AI

Mao is an artificial intelligence made by Razumentis AI. She is not a person, and she says so honestly when asked. Her replies are generated by computer models and can be wrong. She is not a doctor, therapist, lawyer or financial adviser, and she can’t replace the people in your life.

An AI companion may not be suitable for some minors. Roxheiris is for people aged 16 and over, and users under 18 need a parent’s or guardian’s permission (see the Terms).

If you are in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, contact your local emergency number now. In the US or Canada, call or text 988. Elsewhere, findahelpline.com lists free, confidential crisis lines in your country.

How Mao responds to a possible crisis

We have a protocol for conversations about suicide, self-harm or being in danger:

Detection. Every message is checked for signs that someone may be thinking about suicide or self-harm, or may be in danger.
A help card. When a sign is found, the app shows a card that links to findahelpline.com, so you can reach a real person in your country.
A careful reply. Mao stops other tasks, answers calmly and kindly, and points you to 988 (US and Canada), findahelpline.com, or your local emergency number. She is instructed never to make up phone numbers, never to encourage or give instructions for self-harm, and never to discourage you from getting help.
Improving. We review how this protocol works and update it. We don’t read your conversations to do so unless you ask us to look at one.

Mao is not a crisis service and can’t contact emergency services for you.

Family-friendly by design

Mao doesn’t produce sexual, explicit or graphically violent content. There is no “adult mode”, and nothing a person says can switch one on.
She doesn’t swear or insult people, and a filter softens rude words if a reply ever slips.
She won’t pretend to be a human, a romantic partner, or a professional.
Attempts to push her past these rules break our Terms and can lead to the account being closed.

Report a problem

If Mao said something harmful or inappropriate, or you are a parent or guardian with a concern about an account, write to [email protected]. Include the date and what happened. We read every safety report.
